Cineflix Rights signs acquisitions deals with Brown Bob Productions and Windfall Films at Realscreen

Cineflix Rights, the UK’s largest independent TV content distributor, has signed multi-title deals with UK indies Brown Bob Productions and Windfall Films for factual content.

Inside the Operating Theatre (20×60′, Brown Bob Productions for UKTV) offers an exclusive and intimate insight into four busy operating theatres at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn, Norfolk, UK. The series follows the dedicated and highly-skilled team of surgeons and theatre staff as they carry out a huge variety of operations and procedures, from cardiology to plastic surgery. This is the third series in Brown Bob Productions’ ‘Inside the…’franchise, which includes Inside the Vets, also distributed by Cineflix Rights.

Cineflix Rights’ package deal with Windfall Films comprises How Things Work (10×60’ for Discovery Science Channel and France TV), which uses incredible CGI to explode machines into their component parts, and reveal the extraordinary hidden workings at their core; Attack of the Zeppelins (1×60’ for Channel 4, NOVA/WGBH, and National Geographic Channels International), which mixes investigative engineering and archive footage to unravel the mysteries behind the giant airships; Mystery of the Northern Lights (1×60’ for Discovery Science and CBS), which dives into the heart of this magical phenomena to reveal the secrets of their patterns, colours, and origin; Building Hitler’s Supergun: The Plot to Destroy London (1×60’ for Channel 4, NOVA/WGBH, National Geographic UK, PBS, and SBS), which explores the mystery of how Hitler built a weapon which could have destroyed London, and the story of the Allies’ mission to destroy it; Egypt’s Great Pyramid: The New Evidence(1×60’ for Channel 4), which explores how the innovations that surrounded the building of Egypt’s Great Pyramid helped transform the country and shape the modern world; and Operation Lighthouse Rescue (1×60’ for PBS), which follows attempts to save a 160-year-old landmark of American history, the Gay Head Lighthouse.

The deal with Brown Bob Productions was closed by Catherine McCormick, Manager, Acquisitions and the deal with Windfall Films was closed by Richard Life, Head of Acquisitions, Cineflix Rights.
