Cineflix Media Appoints Brett Burlock as SVP of Scripted

Cineflix Media Inc. announced today that seasoned industry executive Brett Burlock is joining the company as SVP of Scripted.

As a senior member of the creative team, Burlock will source and develop scripted series and MOWs for the US, Canadian, and international markets. Using his strong relationships with producers, showrunners, writers, and networks he will develop programming internally and with third party co-production partners. Burlock will be based in Toronto.

Burlock was previously VP at Sea to Sky, a cross border studio partnership between Lionsgate Television and Frank Giustra’s Thunderbird Films where series greenlit into production included Syfy’s Ascension with CBC and SKY, Guilt for FREEFORM, and ABC’s upcoming Sex, Lies & Handwriting with RTL and TF1. Prior to Sea to Sky, Burlock headed up scripted development for Take 5 and was the VP of Development for CTV where he guided all creative matters and oversaw CTV’s original production slate that included US network co-productions The Bridge and Flashpointwith CBS and Emmy®-nominated The Borgias with Showtime.
