Twenty Six 03 Entertainment, the entertainment and formats joint venture founded by Duncan Gray and Cineflix Media, has been greenlit by BBC Three to produce Beauty Blowout—an eye-opening new show set in a bustling Liverpool beauty salon where experts and stylists transform clients for an extra special event.
Beauty Blowout: The Races is set in the run up to one of the biggest days in the North West social calendar: Ladies Day at the Grand National, Aintree. It follows some of the UK’s best face and body specialists as they help female and male clients get race-day ready with a range of beauty and body boosts—everything from botox and fillers to non-surgical butt lifts and breast enhancements. As well as catching the treatments and transformations, the cameras follow the clients out to the racecourse, back into the salon for a quick beauty treatment top-up and then out into the night for the after race parties.
Duncan Gray, Founder of Twenty Six 03 Entertainment said: “There has been a huge change in the UK beauty industry recently, with people now able to walk into a salon and use new procedures to get themselves transformed—from top to bottom—for a big night out or special occasion. But on Beauty Blowout, makeovers are only the beginning as we hear why clients want a body treatment, watch what’s being done in the salon and then follow them out wherever they’re headed to celebrate their new look.”
Rachel Ashdown, BBC Commissioning Editor, Entertainment added: "Beauty Blowout is peppered with great characters and intriguing stories both humorous and heartfelt."
Beauty Blowout is produced by Kerry Flanagan, executive produced by Antonia Hurford-Jones and Duncan Gray and was ordered by Rachel Ashdown, BBC Commissioning Editor, Entertainment.
