Cineflix Rights, one of the UK’s leading independent television content distributors, has signed new deals for more than 250 hours of content from Cineflix Productions and third-party producers.

Crime continues to pay for the distributor, with new deals from TV4 Sweden and Digicast Italia for Last Seen Alive (6x60’, Cineflix Productions), the series is already a proven success in the US, premiering last month with high ratings on Investigation Discovery. TV4 Sweden has also taken Murder in Paradise (season 2, 6x60’, Cineflix Productions) and Wives with Knives (season 2, 8x60’, Indigo Films). Seasons 1 and 2 of Wives with Knives (14x60’) have been bought by Digicast Italia.

Cold Blood (seasons 2 and 7, 26x60’, Cineflix Productions) has sold to CBS Chellozone UK, while seasons 3, 6, and 7 (46x60’) have been bought by NT1 France.

Lifestyle programming is also generating strong sales for Cineflix Rights with Discovery UK and Discovery Europe both buying season 3 of Food Factory (26x30’, Cineflix Productions). Season 4 (26x30’) of Food Factory has been bought by Discovery Europe and AETN All Asia Television Networks has acquired seasons 1 and 2 (52x30’). Finally, Cineflix Rights’ science programming remains popular with buyers, with RTVE Spain and DR Denmark acquiring The Man Who Doesn't Breathe (2x60’, Back2Back Productions) and RAI Italy buying 1000 Days for the Planet (10x60’, Glacialis Productions).

Chris Bonney, CEO of Rights, Cineflix Media said: “We’ve closed a high volume of sales over the last couple of months, following up a very successful MIPTV. These latest deals reflect the strength and breadth of our catalogue to our buyers.”
