Cineflix Rights reveals new factual slate for MIPCOM 2017

September 22, 2017

Cineflix Rights, one of the UK’s largest independent TV content distributors, has announced its slate of new factual programming launching at MIPCOM 2017.

Homicide: Hours to Kill (26×60’, Cineflix Productions) is a groundbreaking true-crime series that follows investigators working the most shocking murder cases as they reconstruct the tragic final hours in the victim’s life in order to find the killer and solve the case.

Rediscovering T-Rex (1×60’, Talesmith/Cineflix Productions, BBC/CBC Canada/France TV) is a myth-busting, cutting edge scientific documentary exposing the inaccuracies and misrepresentations surrounding this infamous dinosaur for centuries, culminating in the most accurate, photo-real, fully-animated CGI model of T-Rex ever attempted.

WWII’s Great Escapes: The Freedom Trails (4×60’, Seadog Productions, Channel 4) is the story of how European Resistance forces established escape routes to get Allied servicemen and women to safety during World War II. Presenter Monty Halls recounts the incredible and little-known stories of the Freedom Trails as he treks these very same paths. Along the way, survivors share their gripping first-hand accounts of escape at the height of war.

Rocky Mountain Railroad (8×60’, Windfall Films/Cineflix Productions, Discovery EMEA & Asia, Network Ten Australia) follows the resilient crews who battle ferocious weather, treacherous terrain, and dangerous wildlife to keep Canada’s critical freight and passenger trains rolling on two of the country’s most extreme rail lines.

Predator Pets (13×60’, Blizzard Road Productions) explores the lives of people who keep unconventional and sometimes deadly pets – from alligators to bison and chimpanzees to wolves. Through interviews with owners, neighbours, vets, zookeepers, town officials, and law enforcement agents, the series explores whether owners have gone too far by keeping these wild animals in their homes.

Chris Bonney, CEO Rights, Cineflix Media said: “Cineflix Rights brings a diverse factual slate to MIPCOM. Whether it’s following detectives cracking the final hours of real life murder cases; revealing a whole new side to the world’s most infamous dinosaur and eye-opening footage of some of the craziest animals ever to be kept as pets; or telling the little known and heartwarming stories of war time heroism in European mountains and modern-day human endurance through an unforgiving landscape, our wide-ranging programming provides new insights, information, and entertainment to audiences worldwide.”
