Mar 20, 2013

Cineflix Rights, one of the UK’s leading independent television content distributors, is launching more than 200 hours of new programming at MIPTV 2013, headed up by a brand new documentary produced to mark the 50th anniversary of the death of President John F Kennedy.

Cineflix Rights’ MIPTV slate has a strong emphasis on high quality, returning series in the crime and lifestyle genres from Cineflix Productions and third party producers. Alongside new factual content, Cineflix Rights is also premiering Season Two of its highly-rated US scripted series, Copper.

Heading up the factual slate is The Day Kennedy Died (1x60’, HD, Finestripe Productions for ITV1 UK and Smithsonian Channel, US). This high quality one-hour special, filmed in Dallas and Washington DC, is being produced for transmission in November to mark the 50th anniversary of JFK’s assassination. It includes powerful and rare archive footage alongside exclusive never-before-seen interviews with those who were at the centre of events, to cast new light on this momentous occasion.

Murder in Paradise (6x60', HD, Cineflix Productions) is a docu-drama series detailing jaw-dropping stories of dream getaways torn apart by a horrific murder. The series takes viewers through the compelling investigations that followed sensational real life plots, set against the backdrop of the world’s most stunning vacation spots.

Trauma Investigators (4x60’, HD, Cineflix Productions) is a "real life CSI", following an elite team of doctors as they conduct on-the-spot investigations, using all the available clues to make critical, split-second decisions that might save their patients’ lives. Cutting-edge 3D graphics give viewers a rare insider’s perspective of what’s at stake.

In Loaded (6x30’, HD, Cineflix Productions), three truckers battle tight deadlines, extreme cargo and treacherous weather while competing against each other to drop, hook, and deliver the best paying loads in a fast-paced, action-packed series.

The Little Couple 108x30’, HD, LMNO Productions), follows a newlywed couple, both under four feet tall, as they embark on a new life together. They face not only the struggles of being two little people in an average-sized world, but also moving to a new city, buying a new home, and weighing the risks of planning a family.

Copper (Season Two, 13x60', HD, Cineflix Studios), is a rugged crime drama set in 1860s New York City. In Season Two, Detective Kevin Corcoran struggles to tame the wartime metropolis while dealing with the horrible truth about what happened to his wife and child, as well as his best friend’s betrayal.

Chris Bonney, CEO of Rights, Cineflix Media said: “Our new slate for MIPTV 2013 is stronger than ever – with a host of great new Cineflix productions alongside some top quality third party content, including the entire LMNO Productions catalogue which we will have at the market for the first time.
