Cineflix Rights, the UK’s largest independent TV content distributor, has closed a number of pre-sale deals with international broadcasters for The Day Hitler Died.
Produced by Finestripe Productions, the documentary is due to air later this year on ITV1 in the UK and has been pre-sold to broadcasters including RMC Découverte (France), SVT Sweden, NRK Norway, NTV Germany and Discovery Poland.
The Day Hitler Died (1x60’) is a factual special, timed to coincide with this year’s 70th anniversary of the dictator’s suicide. It uses recently rediscovered eyewitness interviews which have never been broadcast together with archive footage and reconstruction to provide the definitive account of Hitler’s final days in his Berlin bunker.
Chris Bonney, CEO Rights, Cineflix Media said: “The Day Hitler Died has a combination of exclusive revelations and extensive research to provide a brand new account of what happened in Berlin 70 years ago. Given its timeliness and Finestripe’s reputation for high quality, blue chip programming, we’re seeing a lot of interest at MIPCOM and expect to close further deals at the market.”
