Cineflix Rights announces multiple Crime and Investigation deals at MIPTV

April 11, 2018

Cineflix Rights, the UK’s largest independent TV content distributor, has announced multiple deals for titles from its market-leading Crime and Investigation slate.

Investigation Discovery US, A+E Networks UK, History Channel Iberia, and PCCW Hong Kong have bought Homicide: Hours to Kill (26×60’, Cineflix Productions), the groundbreaking true-crime series that follows determined investigators as they piece together the critical event to reconstruct the timeline of the murder, unlock the motive, and identify the perpetrator.

Cineflix Rights has presold Secrets of the Morgue (13×60’, Cineflix Productions), which launches at MIPTV, to A+E UK, Germany, Benelux, CEE, South Africa, and the Middle East. The enthralling series explores high-profile murder cases from the perspective of the medical examiner, as they work alongside homicide detectives to bring justice to the victims and their families.

The long-running Border Security franchise continues to perform well internationally. SBS Holland, TV2 Denmark, CBS AMC Networks EMEA Channels Partnership, and Netflix (US) have bought Border Security: America’s Front Line (Season 2, 20×30’, Entertainment One), while Germany’s ProSiebenSat.1 and RTL Croatia bought season 1 (28×30’).

Discovery Poland and Discovery Benelux have acquired Bizarre Murders (52×30’, Cineflix Productions), which exposes unbelievably strange, yet true criminal cases told by veteran investigators through vivid reenactments–from a man blowing up his twin in an explosive dispute over their inheritance to 14 state troopers gunning down a woman after mistaking her for a target.

The CBS AMC Networks EMEA Channels Partnership has also bought the latest season of Crimes That Shook Australia (Season 3, 10×60’, Title Role Productions). The compelling documentary series tells the stories of the biggest crimes to hit the country, through the eyes of the people placed right at the heart of the tragedies.

Chris Bonney, CEO Rights, Cineflix Media said: “Crime and Investigation content continues to appeal to international buyers looking for programming that draws viewers to dedicated genre networks as well as mainstream channels. I’m pleased to see the newer additions to our Crime and Investigation slate selling just as well as our long-running successes.”
