Cineflix Rights announces MIPCOM 2018 line-up

October 03, 2018

Cineflix Rights, the UK’s largest independent TV content distributor, has unveiled an exciting line-up of scripted and factual shows for MIPCOM 2018.

Leading Cineflix Rights’ scripted slate is An Ordinary Woman (8×60’, 1-2-3 Production and Look Film for TV-3 Channel Russia). Marina is an ordinary woman, living in Moscow. But behind the façade of her perfect family life lurk many dark secrets.  An Ordinary Woman is the compelling story of how Marina copes as her carefully constructed house of cards begins to collapse around her. Series Mania Best Actress Anna Mikhalkova leads an exceptional cast in this taut, multi-layered, contemporary drama.

The Day We Walked on the Moon (1×60’, Finestripe Productions, ITV) is the riveting story of Apollo 11’s “giant leap for Mankind” told from the unique, first-hand perspective of key figures on the mission and those left behind on earth. This is the inside account of one of humanity’s greatest achievements, 50 years on.

Impossible Builds (8×60’, Windfall Films, Channel 4) explores how a new wave of ingeniously engineered ‘kit’ homes is helping ambitious homeowners construct dream properties in some of the most remote and challenging locations across the UK.

Hitler’s Most Wanted (10×60’, Cineflix Productions) takes a powerful look at how and why a generation of men and women living in a cultured European society became the leaders of one of the most terrifying regimes of all time, responsible for 60 million deaths.

Deadly Deception (6×60’, Cineflix Productions, Investigation Discovery US) presents chilling, real-life stories of reunions that end in murder. From a best friend holding a grudge to family members secretly plotting revenge, the series unmasks the true nature and motivations of villains hiding in plain sight, before revealing a fatal conclusion.

Children of the Snow (4×60’, Cineflix Productions, Investigation Discovery US). Forty years ago, four children were kidnapped and murdered in Detroit sparking a massive manhunt that, to this day, remains unsolved. One local author, who believes he may have narrowly escaped being a victim himself, investigates these baffling crimes to uncover the facts behind the fiction.

Chris Bonney, CEO Rights, Cineflix Media said: “Cineflix Rights’ MIPCOM slate is packed with award-winning drama and high-quality factual series from our global roster of producer partners. Along with the inside story marking Apollo 11’s 50th anniversary, we are launching gripping new true crime series and extraordinary history, science and property shows. We’re equally excited to present An Ordinary Woman, which promises to be a breakout Russian drama – perfect for buyers looking for compelling scripted content.”
